Brian is probably best known for his role as Richard Hillman in Coronation Street for which he won a clutch of awards winning a record breaking 5 at the soap awards including Best Actor and Best Villain. Some may remember him as Mr Hopwood in Grange Hill (4 series) and more recently as Ozias Harding in Where the Heart is (3 series).
Brian trained at LAMDA.

Brian lives in Brighton & Hove, he has 2 daughters from his first marriage, Lucy & Ellen and 2 grandchildren, Charlie and Betty May. He also has a son Louis with his wife Jacqueline who, for ten years played Karl Howman’s wife in the Flash commercials.
Brian has recently filmed a new episode of Midsomer Murders to be shown in the New Year.
